Tender Overview

SOLARTEX GLOBAL COMPANY LTD invites sealed bids from qualified suppliers for the procurement and delivery of photovoltaic solar panels and associated balance-of-system components. The equipment will be deployed across off-grid electrification projects, institutional rooftop installations, and hybrid solar-grid systems. Suppliers must provide panels from Tier 1 manufacturers with proven field performance records.

Scope of Supply

• Monocrystalline PERC solar panels: 300 Wp, 400 Wp, 550 Wp, and 650 Wp
• String inverters: 3 kW, 5 kW, 10 kW, 20 kW, and 50 kW (grid-tie and hybrid)
• MPPT charge controllers for off-grid systems (12V/24V/48V bus)
• Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery banks: 5 kWh to 50 kWh
• Aluminium mounting structures (rooftop pitched, flat roof, and ground-mount)
• DC and AC cabling, combiner boxes, and protection devices
• Delivery to project sites; installation and commissioning in scope

• Panel efficiency: ≥21% (monocrystalline PERC) at STC
• Temperature coefficient (Pmax): ≤-0.35% / °C
• Module certification: IEC 61215, IEC 61730, MCS or equivalent
• Inverter efficiency: ≥97.5% (Euro efficiency)
• Battery cycle life: ≥3,000 cycles at 80% DoD
• Performance warranty: 25 years linear power output guarantee (≥80% at year 25)
• Product warranty: minimum 12 years on module, 5 years on inverter

Eligibility Criteria

• Certificate of Incorporation / Business Registration
• Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA)
• Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) licence or exemption letter
• Minimum 3 years' experience in solar PV supply or installation
• Manufacturer authorisation (Tier 1 OEM letter of appointment)
• Audited financial statements for the last 2 financial years
• Proof of at least two completed solar PV projects of ≥50 kWp
