Tender Overview

SOLARTEX GLOBAL COMPANY LTD invites bids from registered and qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of LED street lighting systems. The procurement covers complete street lighting packages including poles, luminaires, cabling, and smart control components for urban road and public space illumination projects.

Scope of Supply

  • LED street luminaires: 40W, 80W, 120W, and 160W power ratings
  • Galvanised steel poles: 6 m, 8 m, and 10 m heights
  • Single-arm and double-arm bracket configurations
  • Smart dimming controllers with 0–10V or DALI interface
  • Underground cable (XLPE-insulated, armoured) and accessories
  • Distribution pillars and metering equipment
  • Delivery to project sites within the country, off-loading included

Technical Specifications

  • Luminaire efficacy: minimum 130 lm/W
  • Colour Rendering Index (CRI): ≥70
  • Colour Temperature: 4,000 K ± 500 K (neutral white)
  • IP rating: IP66 for luminaire, IP44 for control gear
  • IK rating: IK08 minimum (impact protection)
  • Compliance with IEC 60598 and EN 13201 road lighting standard
  • Design life: ≥50,000 hours at L80/B20

Eligibility Criteria

  • Certificate of Incorporation / Business Registration
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in street lighting supply or installation
  • Manufacturer's authorisation letter (for distributors)
  • Audited accounts for the last 2 financial years
  • Completed at least two comparable projects (reference letters required)
  • AGPO certificate (if applicable)

  • Registration and tax compliance certificates (certified copies)
  • Product technical datasheets and photometric reports (LDT/IES files)
  • Lux calculation layout for a sample road section (optional but preferred)
