Tender Overview

SOLARTEX GLOBAL COMPANY LTD invites sealed bids from qualified suppliers for the supply of electric storage tank water heaters and solar-assisted water heating systems. The equipment will be deployed across residential, hospitality, and institutional installations requiring dependable hot water supply.

Scope of Supply

• Electric storage tank water heaters: 30L, 50L, 80L, and 150L capacities
• Solar-assisted water heating systems with flat-plate or evacuated tube collectors
• Insulated storage tanks (stainless steel or glass-lined)
• Thermostatic controls and temperature/pressure relief valves
• Mounting brackets, piping, and standard installation accessories
• Installation and commissioning support included in scope
• Backup electric immersion heater elements for solar units

Technical Specifications

• Tank insulation: minimum 30mm polyurethane foam, heat loss ≤1.5 kWh/24hr
• Heating element: 1.5 kW – 3.0 kW depending on tank size
• Maximum working pressure: 8 bar with safety relief valve
• Solar collector efficiency: ≥65% (flat-plate) or ≥70% (evacuated tube)
• Compliance with IEC 60335-2-21 and applicable KEBS standards
• Warranty: minimum 3 years on tank, 1 year on heating element

Eligibility Criteria

• Certificate of Incorporation / Business Registration
• Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (KRA)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in water heating systems supply
• Manufacturer authorisation letter (for distributors)
• Audited financial statements for the last 2 financial years
• Proof of at least two completed supply or installation projects
